What If...

Great News

I have a BIG announcement to make... I'm engaged! Yes, it's true! SSG and I have been dating for about a year. We're  from the same town, yet he now lives about an hour away. The funny thing is, we lived only miles apart growing up, even shared close friends, yet had never met. How ironic!

SSG swept me off my feet, that's for sure. Lots of wining, dining and sweet gifts. He's the complete mushy type (sigh). He sends sweet cards, sweet texts and always goes the extra mile to show how much he cares. We're truly soul mates!

SSG proposed marriage on a trip we'd taken to Virginia Beach. We'd had a wonderful dinner in Williamsburg, followed by roses, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and a handwritten note.

Boston On My Mind

I just could not believe the news from Boston today! I  spent 4 nights there a few weeks ago. It was my first trip to the historical city. I  have heard reports that the explosions are believed to have been another terrorist attack. I will continue to pray for those involved in this sad tragedy.

It's so dang hot already! Where did spring go? I mean, I haven't had time to even get a good spray or lotion tan. Going to take care of that this weekend. What's your favorite brand? I've tried them all, but I've found the Jergens brand works really well. Even better is the knock off Target version. Who knew?

SSG and I had a delicious weekend! I have to brag on my sweet boyfriend! I can honestly say, no one has ever treated me more like a princess than he does!  I have to pinch myself all the time. I'm a very blessed girl!

I attended my first Monster Jam last night. Interesting to say the least. I really didn't know what to expect. I had envisioned loud trucks with huge tires running around in dirt... I thought the smell of gasoline might make me ill. It was somewhat the way I expected , but it was also entertaining. The trucks were big and loud, but the size of their huge tires made them look like toys roaming around in the dirt. They were almost cute to watch. My favorite truck, Mudusa, was PINK and driven by a woman. Loved it!! Word of advice; If you ever go, please bring lots of earplugs!!

So this is what "happy" looks like. Even though, I am still very much grieving the loss of my beloved brother, I am so happy to have found the love of my life!! SSG and I met four months ago, just a month before my brother passed away. He has been my rock these last few months. I am blessed!!

Gosh, where do I start?

I've had a rough year... to say the least. I seperated, and divorced my husband of 15 years. I met a sweet man, and fell madly in love. Just when I thought life was great again, my brother got sick... my only brother, my baby brother... I could never even put into words how close he and I were. Shane was his name. In the span of 6 weeks, he went from a healthy, in shape 40 year old, to going home to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Shane had soft tissue sarcoma... We got  the diagnosis a week before he passed. So unfair, so hard to take!!
